Moolah by Young Greatness produced by Jazze Pha

Congratulations to our client Young Greatness for his breakout success on the hit single “Moolah” produced by Atlanta music producer Jazze Pha.  The QC/Capitol Records signee has garnered the attention of music lovers nationwide as he’s climbed up the charts to #86 on the Billboard Top 100.   Forbes Magazine is among those who are paying attention.  A recent Forbes magazine article speaks of the financial success that comes along with a hit single including the artist’s ability to charge higher rates for features performances and bookings.  The Moolah rapper also gives recognition to his legal team with the lyrics “Young Boys with Lawyers…“.    Thanks Greatness.

[“A joint release by Capitol Records and Quality Control Music, the track has logged 7.8 million Spotify streams to date, along with over 5.6 million YouTube plays of the music video via the artist’s official Vevo channel. “Moolah” debuted two weeks ago on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart at #95.

‘It’s been a long time since New Orleans had an artist really make it to the upper echelon,’ Jones says of his chart debut. ‘That was one of my goals.’

As has been the case with several recent rap hits like Fetty Wap’s “Trap Queen” or Post Malone’s “White Iverson,” the arrival of “Moolah” on the Hot 100 was a long time coming. Following a stint in prison from 2007 through 2010, Jones focused on his music career to stay away from the lure of the streets. ‘I used to pay to open up for concerts,’ he says. ‘I had a street team putting up posters every day and giving out mixtapes.’

To make a name for himself, he shared his time between New Orleans and hip-hop hub Atlanta, making industry connections which led to a deal with Quality Control Music, the independent label known for artists like Migos and Rich The Kid.

“Every city that we went to, ‘Moolah’ was popping,” he says, noting that the crowds were singing along with him word-for-word. “It had legs on it, but it wasn’t until I went on tour that it grew wings.”

The impact of that pivotal opening spot with Gates was palpable. Requests for features, solo concerts, and club appearances increased significantly–as have Jones’ fees.

“I’m charging more for everything,” he says with a laugh. “It’s Moolah Season, baby!”]

We at the Reynolds Law Group wish you continued success.
